Retro City Rampage has been out on the PlayStation Network and PC for some time now, providing its fan base with old school references and parodies galore. Sadly for Xbox 360 and Wii owners, the wait has been a bit lengthier. Thankfully, however, that ongoing wait may not be too long now.

As announced by Eurogamer, both the Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare versions of Retro City Rampage have officially entered certification. Now we wait. Developer Brian Provinciano is hopeful that the game will pass certification, and while no release date has been confirmed for the Xbox Live Arcade edition, the WiiWare version will “hopefully” launch later this month.

A lot of folks (myself included) have been enjoying the heck out of Retro City Rampage for the past two months. It’s a bit of a shame that the game isn’t widely available yet, but here’s hoping that changes soon.

As far as a Retro City Rampage 2 is concerned, Provinciano specified that there are “no plans” for a direct follow-up at this time.

As revealed earlier this month, some of the more integral aspects to the 3DS’ online experience – such as the eShop and built-in browser – will arrive post-launch. In a recent financial results briefing, company president Satoru Iwata gave a timeframe for the eventual rollout: May.

In late May, nearly two months after the initial launch, Nintendo plans on deploying a sizable firmware update that will add the digital shop functionality, along with the ability to browse the web and transfer purchased DSiWare titles to the new system.

Why the delay? Nintendo is spending extra time to get it right, pointing to the faults it made with the Wii and DSi shop channels. In that regard, Iwata called the eShop a “drastically redesigned” avenue.

“As it is critical in digital software distribution that the software available there won’t be buried and go unnoticed, and that we can prepare pleasant encounters for consumers, we will be running a drastically redesigned shop for Nintendo 3DS in which you can more comfortably purchase software through downloads. Our goal is to make Nintendo eShop a place where you feel like stopping by and enjoying window shopping.”

From the ‘what took so long’ department comes official word from Nintendo that time-limited demos are returning for select WiiWare titles. The initial lineup includes indie efforts BIT.TRIP FATE, And Yet It Moves, ThruSpace and Jett Rocket — all of which will be available for sampling starting November 22.

Additionally, Nintendo plans on adding more demos to Monday. The logic behind offering demos for a specific amount of time baffles us, but at least Nintendo is getting into the practice of offering them. Hopefully a sign of things to come for the 3DS, sans the time-sensitive restrictions.

Sega is busy adding an extra layer of polish to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, so busy that they’ve had to issue a delay. Previously slated for a summer debut, the title is now on for the “latter half of 2010.” We’d assume that means sometime in fall. Unfortunate.

In explaining its reasoning behind the setback, the company noted that “[t]he additional time will allow the Development Team to focus on ensuring overall high-quality throughout the game by continuing to tune, balance, and maintain the kind of polish that an important title like this demands, and ultimately providing fans with an unrivalled classic Sonic feel.”

On an uplifting note, Sega also confirmed that the episodic platformer will hit the iPhone in addition to the digital markets of PSN, Xbox Live, and WiiWare.

Old-school, exploration heavy sci-fi FPS Descent will join Nintendo’s WiiWare catalog of downloadable offerings this fall, publisher Interplay announced today.

Originally created by Parallax Software, developer G1M2 is handling the WiiWare version, promising to retain the same classic gameplay that broke new ground in the 3D space 15 years ago with obligatory waggle support added in. Sounds like a winning combination.

“Descent will pair perfectly with the motion sensing Wii Remote controller and we can’t wait to show players how intuitive the game play and control can be,” according to G1M2 founder Scott Hawkins.

Studio Pixel’s charming pixel-perfect platforming romp Cave Story will make its enhanced debut on Nintendo’s WiiWare download service on March 22, co-developer Nicalis announced today.

In addition to beefed up 480p visuals and a remastered soundtrack, the Wii release of this indie classic features five new play modes, including Sanctuary Time Attack and Boss Rush Mode. Both of these modes were previously announced as DLC, but Nicalis has so graciously decided to make them a standard inclusion. You can’t argue with that, no sir.

Capcom today placed dates on the digital debut of its 8-bit styled Mega Man 10. The title will hit WiiWare first on March 1, followed by a PSN release on March 11 and Xbox Live Arcade on March 31. Once again inspired by the NES originals, this entry sees Mega Man and his robo-brother Proto Man battling an army of Robot Masters under the influence of a maniacal virus known as Roboenza.

Definitely a day one purchase. We’re fond of the 8-bit generation generation and all, it sure brings back memories. Quite honestly, though, we’d like to see some 16-bit retro love too. How about another Mega Man X done in the same style of the SNES classics? Capcom, you can do it.

Putting an end to a series of sporadic teases and carefully placed hints, Sega finally lifted the final curtain on its Project Needlemouse effort late last night, unveiling the title as Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. As originally promised, it is a 2D style side-scroller backed by 3D characters models, with Sonic himself starring as the sole playable character.

In commemoration of the announcement, Sega released a retrospective trailer that pays homage to past installments in the series, viewable above. It also gives us a brief look at the new game, wrapping up with mention of a Summer 2010 release date on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and WiiWare. Is this the Sonic fans have been clamoring for? Sure sounds like it. Speaking to GameSpot, Brand manager Ken Balough says the final product will incorporate “established 2D gameplay mechanics for the series like the spin dash and power sneakers.”

As the Episode 1 subtitle signifies, Sega has made a long-term episodic commitment to this entry, with Balough teasing that future installments are on the way. “I think it’s also safe to say that by the end of the episode one, fans will be very excited to see what’s in store for episode two,” he explained.

WiiWare effort Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, a remake of the 1989 Game Boy original is out in Japan and one avid fan has recorded a playthrough of the first stage for your enjoyment. Visually, it’s looking nothing like the original, which in all respects is a good thing. Expect a healthy dose of nostalgia as far as gameplay goes, however. Still no word from Konami on a US release date, but it’s expected to hit before this year’s end.

Despite the fact that Konami has yet to officially announce Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, a full-on WiiWare remake of the Game Boy title of the same name, images showing off the second take of this whip-slinging entry have surfaced courtesy of Famitsu.

Not your typical remake, Konami went the extra mile with this one, giving it a modern look. Which by all accounts is a good thing, considering the original looks horrendously dated by today’s standards. In addition to introducing new foes, level designs have been given a facelift in tune with the traditional Castlevania look, notably replacing those out-of-place ropes from the original with actual stairs.

Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth is slated for an October 27 release in Japan. Nintendo has stamped a vague Q3 2009 date in North America, meaning there is a chance it could make it its way here before Halloween as well.

In a press release detailing its holiday lineup, Nintendo revealed that DS title The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is on track for a December 7 release in North America.

While story details are still shrouded in mystery, the title features an cel-shaded art style fondly reminiscent of Phantom Hourglass. Apart from the added element of stylus driven controls, gameplay is largely akin to traditional Zelda efforts, this time with an added emphasis on exploration as Link guides a cannon-wielding steam engine.

See Nintendo’s mammoth release schedule from first-party and third-party publishers after the break.

Konami’s seminal run n’ gun shooting franchise is set to arrive on WiiWare next week as Contra Rebirth.

The title will carry a price point of 1000 Wii points and is currently set for release in Japan only on May 12. While little is known about it, this entry in the series looks to sport a visual style similar to that of Contra 4, which was developed by WayForward.

Anyone noticing a trend here? First Gradius was given a 2D makeover or “rebirth” on WiiWare and now Contra. If this trend continues, perhaps we’ll see more backcatalog revivials from Konami in the future – like say another 2D Castlevania.

Cowabunga! By way of photos taken from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles road tour van roaming across America, it has come to light that a full-on 3D remake of 1991′s Konami-developed brawler Turtles In Time is in development.

As many would attest to, back in its prime, this was undoubtedly one of the most memorable co-op brawlers. Some would even go as far to label it is as the pinnacle of the genre. It had a irresistible charm that, to this day, any Turtles game released since has yet to surpass. Just seeing the off-screen shot above of Alleycat Blues manages to evoke those sweet feelings of nostalgia.

One would assume that Ubisoft, current holder of the TMNT license, is heading up development duties. Additionally, the controller featured in one of the photos makes an Xbox 360 release a given. The notion of whether it is coming to other digital platforms, such as PSN or WiiWare, is still up in the air at this point in time. Here’s hoping a formal announcement is not far off, especially with E3 right around the corner.

By way of a Gamasutra report, it has come to light that Nintendo is not compensating developers for their WiiWare efforts until a minimum sales threshold is met. While the exact requirement is unknown, it is said to fall within the “mid four-figure” ballpark.

While this condition obviously does not affect the majority, it is arising concern amongst smaller indie developers, a number of which have confirmed that there is sales threshold. The staff of one such studio mentioned in the report feels they may not make the cut.

Is this a huge issue? For most the answer seems to be no, but for smaller studios struggling to meet sales targets, the issue is compounded by the fact that Nintendo does not allow demos of WiiWare titles. Having a playable demo can increase awareness and visibility, especially if your marketing budget is tight.

There’s no word on if a similar operational stipulation is in place for Nintendo’s sister service, DSiWare.

Nintendo of Europe today released the full list of titles it plans to release over the forthcoming spring and summer months, leading up to July. Notables on the WiiWare front include Cave Story and Crystal Defenders. DSiWare has its fair share of titles incoming as well, including Mighty Flip Champs and Brain Training.

Titles on Nintendo Download are not always released on a simultaneous basis across regions, so it’s impossible to say if North America will receive all of these by July. We’ll likely be seeing at least some of them on our side of the pond soon, though.

Independent game developer Gamelion Studios has released the first screenshots of its forthcoming WiiWare effort Furry Legends.

The screens are from a development snapshot and as such should in no way be considered final, but do provide a look at the direction the platformer is headed in. The team hopes to deliver a quality experience rivaling the top tiers on WiiWare. While it is without a doubt too early to definitively judge, it’s looking good so far. The colorful visuals in particular are eye-catching.

Look for an official trailer to hit around GDC time, which kicks off on March 23. For the rest of the screenshots, hit the jump. Gamelion also let us know they have launched an official blog and Twitter feed for around the clock updates as development progresses.

Independent developer Gamelion today announced Furry Legends, an original WiiWare effort pegged for release later this year. Described as a casual-oriented platforming title mixing 3D visuals with 2D gameplay, players take control of a unique cast of spherical characters, each with their own special abilities and move.

Gamelion is aiming to please both casual and core gamers with easy yet hard to master gameplay, coupled with a control set that takes advantage of the Wii Remote. Additionally, the game will feature a proprietary physics system centered around puzzles

Łukasz Szczepański, Producer of “Furry Legends”: “We’re all very excited about this project. It’s our first step into WiiWare, and we’re committed to debut with a very polished, high quality title. The team shows a lot of enthusiasm for the project and I’m confident that we’ll succeed in delivering a quality title to the gamers around the world.”

While an exact release date was not announced, development on Furry Legends is expected to wrap up in the first half of 2009. Screenshots and in-game video clips will be released at a later date — as soon as this month, according to the developer.

The simple yet addictive Flash-based platformer Meat Boy is making a grand comeback on Nintendo’s WiiWare service, Team Meat announced today.

Reconstructed from the ground-up, Super Meat Boy promises to deliver an experience worthy of its title, featuring over 100 trap-filled levels across five chapters, along with a versus mode and boss fights. Additionally, we’re told co-op play as well as a built-in level editor are two gameplay features being considered, but nothing has been finalized on that front yet.

Look for Super Meat Boy to hit WiiWare in Q4 2009.

We’re quite ecstatic over the fact that Cave Story is coming to WiiWare, but what is perhaps even more exciting is that this version of Pixel’s classic 2D platformer will feature an extended experience with all-new downloadable content. Says indy developer Nicalis:

We’re still working away at Cave Story trying to make sure it’s faithful to Pixel’s original while adding a few things for the console release. One of these new additions, I’m happy to announce is Download Content. I think we received enough e-mails demanding it that we’re doing our best to include some new surprises in the WiiWare release. You’re going to have to wait for more info on that.

While there’s no word on what will be released DLC-wise just yet, at least you can now let your imagination run wild. We’d expect new levels are a given, but there are many other aspects of the title ripe for expansion as well. New characters, weapons, power-ups, the list goes on.

Independent game developer Semnat Studios has announced that Eduardo the Samurai Toaster is poised to hit Nintendo’s WiiWare download service later this Winter. Billed as a “run ‘n gun” action shooter with sidescrolling elements, the game promises drop-in and drop-out co-op play for up to four players, 13 diverse story levels, and customizable difficulty settings tailored towards players of all skill levels.

Screenshots can be found after the break. The game features a rather distinct visual style, resembling that of a watercolor painting. Semnat is promising that a video showcasing gameplay footage will be released soon.

Square Enix is ramping up development efforts here in the West, having just opened an LA-based studio and also naming itself as the publisher of Supreme Commander 2. While still in search of prospective employees, the studio is currently working on downloadable offerings, according to U.S. division president John Yamamoto:

All formats – Xbox Live, WiiWare, PlayStation Network – are all viable formats for us. We started the in-house development team a couple of months ago and we’re starting with downloadable content because the team is still small.

Gradually, I want to expand that team, and also evaluate lots of middleware, because western middleware is much more advanced compared to Japanese middleware. So we will study and feed back information to Square Enix in Japan.

The studio is rather small at the moment, consisting of only three members, so it makes sense to focus on smaller DLC based efforts. However, Square Enix plans to expand that head count to as many as thirty people within the next twelve months.

Capcom has sent word that the second wave of downloadable content for Mega Man 9 will be hitting all console digital distribution systems this week. Already available on WiiWare, the DLC pack includes two new difficulty modes, Hard and Expert, along with a Special Time Attack Stage. Just a word of caution, the Expert setting triples the game’s level of difficulty.

All three pieces of DLC are scheduled to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on October 21, with a PSN release following on the 23rd. Full details on the new content can be found after the break.

Hard Mode – Dubbed Hero Mode in Japan, this mode enables you to play the entire game on an increased difficulty level with alternate enemy distribution and spawning points. Hard Mode is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges Modes.

Expert Mode – Dubbed Super Hero Mode Japan, this mode represents the apex of Mega Man 9 difficulty settings and is not for the novice Mega Man 9 player. This mode triples the level of difficulty from the default Mega Man 9 game. Expert Mode is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges Modes.

Special Time Attack Stage – This DLC gives you an additional stage for Time Attack Mode, complete with an all new level and Robot Master Boss, “Fake Man.” Similar in difficulty to the Willy Stages, players will have a fun time tackling this time sensitive competitive stage. Special Time Attack Stage is not compatible with Challenge Mode.

Capcom today announced that Mega Man 9 is set to receive its first bout of downloadable content this week. First up is Proto Man Mode, which allows players to play though the game as Mega Man’s mysterious brother. Proto has the charged shot ability, can power slide, and is equipped with a shield that deflects incoming enemy bullets. On the flipside, he takes double damage and perhaps even more frustrating, bounces back twice as far as Mega Man when attacked. Second is a new stage: Endless Attack. As the name implies, the stage tests your skills to no end.

The DLC is now available to purchase on WiiWare and is scheduled to hit XBLA on October 7, with a PSN release following on October 9.

The wait is nearly over. Capcom has announced that Mega Man 9 will begin hitting digital distribution services across North America next week. The title is scheduled to roll out September 22 on WiiWare, with a PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade release following on the 25th and October 1, respectively.

Plus, Capcom revealed that it plans to make the Mega Man 9 retail box art available for purchase. No word on price or when the package will go on sale (we figure within the next couple weeks), but keep your eyes peeled on the Capcom Store if you’re interested.

Above, a snapshot of Capcom’s simply awesome box art for Mega Man 9. Wait, box art? Although MM9 is being released exclusively as a digital title across all three major platforms, Capcom decided to go all out and created this packaging for members of the press, complete with an asset CD and fact sheet loaded with information on the game.

If you’re not lucky enough to be on Capcom’s mailing list and want one of these then don’t fret, there still may be hope left. Capcom is considering to offer a limited quantity of around 200 or so on the official Capcom Store, along with a voucher for the XBLA or PSN version of the game.

Some of the best things in life come in twos. This week’s Wii Shop Channel update is a prime example of that, with the second installment in Telltale Games’ episodic Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People, entitled Strong Badia the Free, now available on WiiWare. Joining SBCGFAP (1,000 Wii Points) is Capcom’s fabled NES classic Mega Man 2 (500 Wii Points), which is often regarded by many fans as the Blue Bomber’s finest hour.

Distanced from the pair of sequels this week is Potpourrii (800 Wii Points), an original WiiWare offering. Developed by indy studio Abstraction Games, players must help a group of leprechauns take down an evil wizard who has the power of changing seasons at will.

WII-KLY UPDATE: TWO WIIWARE GAMES AND ONE VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAME ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL

Sept. 15, 2008 – Two is your lucky number at the Wii™ Shop Channel this week. You’ll find a pair of totally different yet equally awesome sequels on offer: the second installment in the outrageous Strong Bad game series on WiiWare™, and a memorable sequel from the classic Mega Man™ series on the Virtual Console™. Two is also the total number of WiiWare titles debuting this week, including an eye-popping new puzzle game that’s suitable for two players. And while it only takes one Wii™ console to access them, you’ll need two hands to applaud this ever-growing selection of great games.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new games are:

WiiWare

Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free (Telltale Games, 1 player, Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older-Crude Humor, Mild Cartoon Violence, Use of Alcohol, 1,000 Wii Points): Strong Badia the Free is the second of five monthly episodes starring Strong Bad-the self-proclaimed “coolest person ever”-and the rest of the cast from the popular Homestar Runner Web cartoons. When Strong Bad fails to obey the King of Town’s totally unfair e-mail tax, he’s placed under house arrest. Once freed from his wrongful imprisonment, Strong Bad goes on a mission to unite the local warring factions under the Strong Badian flag. Is Free Country USA ready for such an awesome ruler? Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free also has the Videlectrix arcade classic “Math Kickers Featuring the Algebros,” plus all-new achievements, collectibles, costumes and Teen Girl Squad comics. You can even use Strong Bad’s Lappy to send e-mails and pictures to your Wii Friends™. So what are you waiting for? Fire up Strong Badia the Free and get ready to kick some doughy King of Town butt.

Potpourrii (Abstraction Games, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): In the puzzle game Potpourrii, everything revolves around the seasons. For centuries, the seasons have followed a set pattern. But then things start to go awry in the forest. Suddenly it’s snowing while the sun shines and flowers bloom while leaves are falling. Then a strange purple goo appears. The leprechauns are stunned. Even worse, the magic oak of life loses its power. It all turns out to be the fault of an evil wizard. You must help the leprechauns defeat him and restore natural order. To do this, you need to collect seasonal spirits. Pick them up with the spirit cannon, shoot them at the center of the screen, group them and make them disappear. But watch out-they get faster and faster. In short: Potpourrii is a puzzle game that keeps you hooked with its colorful visuals, beautiful effects and easy-to-use controls using the Wii Remote™ controller. Play alone or with a second player, and even use your Mii™ character.

Virtual Console

Mega Man 2 (NES™, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points): Widely regarded by fans as one of the greatest action games of all time, Mega Man 2 is the second title in the seminal NES series. With even more stages and robot masters than the previous installment, its sheer size and scope are enough to get any action gamer’s heart palpitating. The year is 200X. Dr. Light’s super-robot, Mega Man, has succeeded in smashing the evil ambition of the nefarious Dr. Wily, and peace reigns over the planet. However, Dr. Wily proves to be a hard man to keep down and has returned with a new army of robot masters in tow to challenge our hero. Can Mega Man save the world again?

According to a Dengeki report, Capcom’s highly anticipated 8-bit styled Mega Man 9 will arrive on Nintendo’s WiiWare service in Japan on September 24. Unfortunately, there’s been no word on an exact date for North America or Europe yet. Seeing as Bionic Commando Rearmed hit all territories during its release week, we’re hoping Capcom has a similar strategy in place for Mega Man 9.

Publisher Hudson today announced Bomberman Blast, an all-new entry in the long-running Bomberman series for WiiWare. Slated for a release later this year, the party-centric game will retain the same classic run ‘n bomb gameplay from previous installment in the series, whilst introducing a host of new features, such as Mii support, online leaderboards, and 8-person multiplayer over the net. Up to four players on the same Wii can join in an online match.

Hudson said it plans to host several online tournaments immediately following the game’s release, including one that will coincide with the game’s actual launch day, which has yet to be determined.

Independent developer Ghostfire Games today announced that barring any last minute delays (we’re looking at you Nintendo), its music rhythm title Helix will hit WiiWare on August 25.

Billed as “one of the most innovative music rhythm games ever designed,” players use the Wii Remote to perform over thirty moves designed to give your upper body a workout while listening to fast-paced music.

“Helix is not only fun, it’s a great workout. You can really burn some calories playing this game. You tend to lose yourself playing the game and forget that you’re even getting a workout, because the gameplay is compelling.”

Sounds interesting, to say the least. We’ll find out if it is worth the 1000 Wii Points come next Monday.

Nearly two weeks late, but it’s here. This week’s Wii Shop Channel update kicks off with the addition of the Blue Bomber’s first outing, the original Mega Man on NES. Priced at 500 Wii Points, players set out to put an end to Dr. Wily’s dream of world domination in this 8-bit classic. Joining Mega is NEOGEO title Neo Turf Masters, a golf classic that features six available characters and a number of golf courses from around the world. This one will set you back 900 Wii Points.

Over on the WiiWare front, Gameloft brings us Midnight Pool. For 900 Wii Points, you can partake in virtual pool tournaments as one of seven characters, using the Wii Remote to pull off sweet trick-shots in a gimmicky fashion. Neat-o.

Wii-kly Update

One WiiWare Game and Two Virtual Console Games Added to Wii Shop Channel

Fans of ’80s platforming action have something to shout about this week—namely, the Virtual Console™ debut of a true classic: Mega Man™. Whether you’re experiencing this vintage robot adventure for the first time or reliving the fun of your NES® heyday, you’ll find all of the game’s side-scrolling thrills intact. Meanwhile, players with a passion for sinking the perfect shot can rule the table with a new WiiWare™ pool title or conquer the links in a challenging, globetrotting golf game.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii™ Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new games are:

WiiWare

Midnight Pool (Gameloft, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone—Mild Suggestive Themes, Simulated Gambling, 800 Wii Points): Take a trip across America to make your dreams come true in a pool tournament worth millions. Visit the most colorful bars and meet seven of the coolest players on the circuit, from country music star Travis to Alison the biologist and John the sheriff. Learn the tricks of the trade through tutorials along the way, while advanced players can take on challenges to show off their trick-shot abilities. Keep things interesting with three sets of rules.

Virtual Console

Mega Man (NES, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone—Mild Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points): Join the blue bomber in his first-ever adventure as he battles the evil Dr. Wily and his robotic henchmen to restore peace to a troubled world. Mega Man is a super-robot created by the genius scientist Dr. Light. When Dr. Wily goes rogue with an army of six of his own devious robot masters, it’s up to Mega Man to put a stop to his nefarious plot by traversing a series of stages rife with enemies, traps and perilous platform challenges. At the end of each stage, conquer one of the robot masters and claim his weapon as your own, using it to your advantage in subsequent fights.

NEO TURF MASTERS (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 900 Wii Points): This is a golf game that was first released in 1996. The player picks one of six available golfers and competes on a number of golf courses around the world, including Japan (Fujiyama Oriental Golf Club), America (Grand Canyon Golf Course), Australia (Blue Lagoon Golf Course) and Germany (Baden Golf Course). The game features two modes of play. The first is Stroke Play, in which the player attempts to get the best score by playing all 18 holes. The second is Match Play, in which two players compete to see who can win more of the 18 holes. Grab a friend and get ready to hit the fairway.

With all the talk about how great Jonathan Blow’s time-bending puzzle platformer Braid is, we can imagine that PlayStation 3 owners are feeling a little jealous. Good news, though. According to Blow himself, the title was released on XBLA through a timed exclusivity agreement with Microsoft and as such, a PSN release is indeed possible after the period of exclusivity ends.

Furthermore, on the question of if Braid will come to Nintendo’s WiiWare download service, Blow stated that a WiiWare version is out of the question, citing a lack of internal storage as the reasoning behind why.
