Nintendo, Sakurai Form Project Sora

Nintendo of Japan today announced that it has formed a new subsidiary in collaboration with Super Smash Bros. project lead and creator Masahiro Sakurai. Dubbed Project Sora, the company was established on January 22.
According to an interview with Nintendo prez Satoru Iwata posted on the company’s just-launched website, a title unrelated to Smash Bros. is in development at the studio. Naturally, it’s being directed by Sakurai. In Iwata’s words, translated by weblog Kotaku, “I can promise an experience that’s different from anything [you’ve played] up until now.” No indication of platform, but still, exciting stuff.
