The fabled Metal Gear franchise turns 20 this year and according to Famitsu, Konami has big plans in store for the celebration. Game collectors be prepared, because this is going to eat away at your wallet. Konami plans to re-release all the main entries in its Metal Gear Solid series, starting with the PSone original.
The complete list (with pricing) is as follows:
- Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation – 1500 yen ($12)
- Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty for PlayStation 2 – 1800 yen ($15)
- Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater for PlayStation 2 – 2800 yen ($23)
- Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops – 2800 yen ($23)
Konami will also be packing all the games together into one special bundle package for 6900 yen ($56). At the very least, let’s hope Konami has plans to bring the special bundle package to the US. I’d definitely go for that.
