Rumor: Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Canned

IGN is reporting that insiders close to NST, or Nintendo Software Technology, are claiming that the Wii action title, tentatively named Project H.A.M.M.E.R., has been canceled. Since the title’s playable debut at E3 2006, very little information or media has been divulged.
That’s certainly worrying in itself, and to top it off the very same insiders are also claiming that the game’s original team members have moved on to projects that fall within the "expanded audience" category.
Was Project H.A.M.M.E.R. canceled due to Nintendo’s recent success in the casual market? We hope not.
