Sony is prepping for the release of its 3D-touting firmware update in a big way. Premier graphical showcase and critically acclaimed first-person shooter Killzone 2 is receiving the 3D treatment this summer, as revealed by the latest episode of Sony’s in-house online magazine — Qore.
Alongside Guerrilla’s masterpiece, other titles making the jump to stereo 3D include Invincible Tiger, WipEout HD, Gran Turismo 5, LittleBigPlanet, and Super Stardust HD. Looks as if PS3 owners willing to shell out the premium for a brand-new 3D capable TV set are in for a real treat.
While Sony has yet to nail down a specific date, Japanese sources peg the firmware for a June release.
