Sega Genesis Classics Hit Steam In June

Sega is paying yet another visit to its backcatalog, having announced today that a “wide selection” of classics from the 16-bit era will soon make their debut on Steam as well as other digital distribution networks.
The initial selection will consist of several fan-favorites, including Golden Axe, Ecco the Dolphin, Comix Zone, Vectorman, Crack Down, Gain Ground, Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi, Sonic 3D Blast, Space Harrier II. All of these titles were previously released on the Genesis, otherwise known as the Mega Drive.
The first wave of offerings are on for a June 1 release, with pricing set at $2.99 each. We’d wager a bet that Steam will sweeten up the deal with bundled sales down the road or if we’re lucky, on launch day.
