Microsoft Dates Kinect Launch for November 4

Microsoft’s full-body motion camera dubbed Kinect will hit North American store shelves on November 4, the company announced today. The device will debut alongside a broad, diverse portfolio of launch titles.
Microsoft first unveiled Kinect as a centerpiece of 2009’s E3 presser. Up until now, it was known only as Project Natal.
Among the titles shown on stage at Microsoft’s E3 briefing, one that stood out among the rest was an all-new Star Wars title. A brief gameplay trailer was shown, highlighting the flexible gameplay mechanics offered by Kinect.
No other details were divulged, with the trailer promising a “2011 release.”
