While Bayonetta developer Platinum Games suffered the loss of a few notable names last March – namely Shigenori Nishikawa and Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, that hasn’t put a damper on future efforts at the Sega-owned studio.

Producer Atsushi Inaba dropped word that Platinum has a “big multiplayer title” in the pipeline in a recent interview with NowGamer:

We haven’t officially announced it yet, but we have a big multiplayer title that we’re working on right now. There are many different projects running internally, but please look out for the announcement.

Naturally, Inaba gave no indication as to when we might see a formal announcement. Platinum Games’ next title, the action-centric sci-fi shooter Vanquish, hits shelves October 19 for PS3 and Xbox 360. A release will follow in Europe on October 22.
