Rumor: $399 40 GB PS3 For Holidays

According to Ars Technica’s “reputable mole,” Sony is planning to introduce a 40 GB PS3 pack-in with a Blu-ray copy of Spider-Man 3 bundled for $399. The 80 GB is rumored to drop to $499 and the PS2 may drop even further in price to only $99.
Given the source’s track record, it sure looks like this may become true, possibly even be announced during the Tokyo Game Show.
Also, the difference in price between the 40 GB and 80 GB may seem a tad too much, but remember that the 80 GB includes a copy of MotorStorm.
