A new DLC-based offering is en route to Marvel vs Capcom 3, Capcom announced today. Dubbed ‘Shadow Mode,’ it’s scheduled to arrive post-launch in March, allowing players to “face off against custom-built computer opponents, modeled after famous players and specific themed teams.” Think ghost fights, but with a finely-tuned AI.

Capcom plans to dole out a series of packs that supplement this mode, with the first highlighting the team and AI Personality of producer Ryota Niitsuma, alongside Assistant Producer Akihito Kadowaki and a yet-to-be named QA team leader.

Further, Capcom teases that upcoming packs “may feature some personalities you already know.” There’s no word on if the DLC will be available as a free or paid-for add-on.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 hits retail shelves February 15 in North America.
