by February 17, 2011 @ 4:17 pm

Retail tracking firm NPD has released its hardware and software sales analysis for the month of January, showing a 5 percent year-over-year decline in industry sales. Despite the stumble, Activision has reason to celebrate, as Call of Duty: Black Ops is still dominating the software charts at no. 1.
Elsewhere across the spectrum, Ubisoft landed three titles in the top ten: Just Dance 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Michael Jackson The Experience.
See more numbers past the break. We’ll update as hardware data comes in from publishers.
