Report: Nintendo Denies Miyamoto Stepping Down

After the report posted in an interview with Wired last night, Nintendo was quick to maintain damage control. Today a Nintendo spokesperson has said that it is completely untrue that Miyamoto is considering retirement.
“This is absolutely not true,” said a spokeswoman for Nintendo. “There seems to have been a misunderstanding. He has said all along that he wants to train the younger generation.
“He has no intention of stepping down. Please do not be concerned.”
So, it appears the leading creator behind both Mario and Zelda will be sticking around a little while longer.
