Epic Showing Off Unreal Engine 4 Behind Closed Doors At GDC
by February 27, 2012 @ 9:36 am

After a tantalizing look at the future of video game graphics in Samaritan, Epic’s revealed that the next iteration of its Unreal Engine middleware will be shown off at GDC in March.
The demonstration won’t be for public consumption, open to licensees and development partners only. Still, there’s always the chance that media will be release later, as was the case with the Samaritan demo. We wouldn’t expect to see prototypes of next-gen Xbox or PlayStation hardware show up, given that Epic usually runs its demos on PC.
Last we heard, Epic is shooting for a 2014 deployment of the engine.
