Major Rockstar Sequel Planned For 2009, Could Be Max Payne 3

In a telephone conference call following its first quarter earnings report, Take-Two upper management confirmed that 2009 would see the release of a sequel to a triple-AAA Rockstar game.
The game in question, of course, went unnamed. Could this mean that Max Payne 3 is in the works? Granted, there’s a few other Rockstar properties that potentially could receive the sequel treatment as well (Smuggler’s Run, Manhunt), but nothing else screams AAA like Max Payne. Not to mention there is a movie based on the game set to hit theaters later this year, which makes the prospect of a Max Payne sequel even more likely.
