Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Content Headed to Consoles

I have to admit I was pretty bummed out when I heard that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition was headed to the PC with extra content not seen in the console versions. The idea of extra bosses, areas, NPCs, and enemies in Dark Souls for PC just made it seem as though I was missing out by owning the game on my PlayStation 3. Thankfully, that’s going to change fairly soon.
Titled Artorias of the Abyss, a new expansion pack for Dark Souls will be released on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for 1200 Microsoft Points and $14.99, respectively. The DLC will include all of the extra content of the PC’s Prepare to Die Edition, and it is expected to launch sometime during the winter season.
Additionally, retail copies of the ominous-sounding Prepare to Die Edition will hit store shelves, too, which is pretty rad. The PC version will be available at retail on August 24 in Europe and Australia, reports IGN. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will also get retail versions of the game this winter. Whether the retail release and the DLC launch will coincide is still unknown.
So yeah, more Dark Souls!
