Resident Evil 6 Packs Around 4 Hours of Cutscenes

As perhaps evidenced by the cinematic nature of the footage shown at E3, Resident Evil 6 will not be light on cutscenes. According to a review from the British Board of Film Classification, the entire runtime for cutscenes is 255 minutes, or 4 hours and 15 minutes.
This isn’t unprecedented for a video game title, of course, but it’s certainly up there. It’s a huge jump from previous Resident Evil titles, at least. RE5 only had about an hours worth of cutscene segments.
It may seem like a lot, but the game is split across three main scenarios – so we’re talking close to an hour and 30 minutes for each. Which seems respectable, given that Capcom has been touting that RE6 will be the longest game yet in the series.
