Knytt Underground Platforms Its Way to PS3, Vita, and PC

A while back, indie developer Nifflas released a pleasant little platformer titled Knytt. The studio followed that up with Knytt Stories, which was also quite pleasant in its own right. Both titles were freeware PC games, and suffice it to say that they provided plenty of enjoyment for gamers.

As reported on Indie Games, it now looks like Nifflas is planning a third game in the series, Knytt Underground. The game is scheduled to launch for PC, Linux, Mac, PlayStation 3, and Vita. Because ya know, options are always pretty awesome.

Knytt Underground is the biggest game I’ve ever developed and is the first game where I feel that I have a story to tell,” said Nifflas’ Nicklas Nygren. “It’s about the big questions; trying to understand life and our place in it — and failing completely.”

Nifflas is partnering up with Green Hill and Ripstone Publishing to release Knytt Underground. No word on when the game will launch or how much it will cost. What has been confirmed, however, is that the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions will feature “unique” exclusive content. So yeah, yay!
