Buy PlayStation All-Stars on One Platform, Get the Other Free

Gamers have been pretty confused about this cross-gaming functionality business between the PlayStation 3 and Vita. We’ve all been wondering if we’ll have to buy both versions of a dual platform title across both of Sony’s current systems, or if buying one will warrant a copy of the other version.
As far as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and a couple of other titles are concerned, you’ll be able to cross-buy them. That means you can buy the PlayStation 3 version of the game and get the Vita iteration absolutely free of charge and vice versa. Not a bad deal at all, and I’m certain we were all hoping that would be the case.
Other upcoming games confirmed to be cross-buy are Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. These were all announcements made by PlayStation Europe CEO Jim Ryan, but I’m almost certain we can expect this cross-buy feature for these specific titles here in North America, as well.
Already we’ve seen Sound Shapes incorporate this model, and other developers have stated that their games will be cross-buy titles, too. Here’s hoping that’s how it goes for all PlayStation 3/Vita titles down the road.
