IDW Publishing Borderlands Comic Book

If you dug the characters in Borderlands, you may want to check out Borderlands: Origins, the IDW-published comic book mini-series that’s due out this fall. The four-part canon-heavy series is being penned by original Borderlands writer Mikey Neumann, and it takes place before the events of the first game.

Borderlands: Origins delves deeper into the backstories of Roland, Mordecai, Lilith, and Brick. A lot of folks often say that the story in Borderlands was hardly even a story, and they may be right. Well, now the game’s getting somewhat of a setup through this comic series.

Borderlands had an interesting art style that looked like it had been torn from the pages of a comic book. So with that said, I’m eagerly anticipating the launch of Borderlands: Origins, not only because I’ll get to read up on the protagonists’ pasts, but because it could provide some fun reading material and great art.

The first issue of Borderlands: Origins will hit comics retailers this November, and it will be priced at $3.99. Watch out for it if you’re a comic-reading fan of the series.
