In a recent community update, UK-based development house Codemasters confirmed that a playable demo of its forthcoming racer GRID is set to arrive on “all non-handheld formats” next week, ahead of the game’s scheduled June retail release on PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and PS3. The demo will allow players to compete across three separate international events, as detailed below.

The eBay Motors Muscle Cup sees you taking the wheel of a ford Mustang GT-R and the streets of San Francisco, the Advan International Trophy hands you a Nissan S15 Silvia and your playground is Yokohama Docks, and the Euro Touring Car Series provides some old-school tin-top thrills with a BMW 320si touring car and the sweeping curves and hairpins of Jarama.

Additionally, those who download and play the console version of the demo will have an opportunity to win an “amazing prize.” Further details are to be announced shortly.
