Zelnick Confirms BioShock 3

In an earnings call with investors earlier today, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick gave word of a possible release timeline for the forthcoming BioShock film, nothing that it would likely be released around the same time BioShock 3 hits retailers.
Wait, BioShock 3? Not a typo, that’s what boss man Zelnick said, here’s the full quote:
It’s unlikely the [BioShock film] would be released coincident with BioShock 2. It’s more likely that it would be released coincident with BioShock 3.
Indeed, it’s surprising that Take-Two would drop word of a third installment in the franchise so soon, especially since BioShock 2 won’t hit store shelves until late 2009. Looks like they had it planned as a trilogy from the very start.
