LucasArts Confirms Layoffs

Following yesterday’s highly circulated rumors of massive layoffs over at developer LucasArts, company spokesperson Margaret Grohne confirmed to gaming blog Kotaku today that there was a workforce reduction, but did not provide specific numbers.
I can confirm we had layoffs yesterday they were in the studio. They had to do with where we are in our product life cycles.
If the original rumor is to be believed, an upwards of 75 employees were recently laid off from the company, two of whom reportedly include VP of Product Development Peter Hirschmann and LEGO Indiana Jones producer Shawn Storc.
One disgruntled ex-employee dropped word of several projects the developer was working on, which include the long rumored MMO-based Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3, Star Wars: Battlefront 3, another LEGO-based Indiana Jones title, and an all-new Wii title that features lightsabers. It is unknown at this point how the layoffs have affected these supposed titles.
