Witcher 3

Today CD Projekt RED has revealed that a third, and final, entry into The Witcher series is being worked on and set for a 2014 release. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt will feature a new mature, non-linear story with an open world environment.

The new open world environment is supposedly 30 times as large as the one found in The Witcher 2, all while maintaining the integrity of the game’s story line. No specific consoles were named except for “high-end platforms,” though GameInformer’s latest issue has confirmed that The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt will be coming to next-gen consoles.

For those interested in the series, GOG and Steam are currently selling the games at 50% off and Xbox 360 owners can find a permanent price cut for The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition by $10.
