Hyperdimension Neptunia PP

I consider Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 something of a guilty pleasure of mine. I mean, sure, it’s kind of stereotypically moe, and it’s not exactly the deepest RPG out there. That said, it’s still pretty fun, and the video game industry references are a total riot. That’s the only game I’ve ever played in the series, though, and while I most certainly loved it, it’s hard to say what I think about this upcoming entry, titled Hyperdimension Neptunia PP.

As announced by NIS America, this time around, the gang of heroines from Gamindustri form a J-pop idol group, and it’s up to you to lead them to victory. You’ll take on rival musical group MOB-48 as you attempt to launch yourself into superstardom. It’s a weird premise, no doubt, and seeing the series go down the path of the rhythm game genre is kind of surprising.

Hyperdimension Neptunia PP is set to land in North America and Europe in 2014. The game will be available exclusively for the Vita.
