It’s been a good two days since we last took a look at a Nintendo handheld bundle, so I’d say it’s as good a time as any to do it once again. Nintendo issued a press release indicating that two Pokemon bundles will be hitting retailers this week on December 6.
The first of the two bundles includes a red 2DS system with a pre-installed copy of Pokemon X. The set will be priced at $149.99 and will be distributed at Target. The second bundle includes a blue 2DS with a preloaded copy of Pokemon Y. As expected, this one will also run buyers $149.99, though it’ll only be available at Toys “R” Us (retail and online).
In the span of about a week, Nintendo has announced bundles that include a regular 3DS with Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, a 3DS XL with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and now 2DS bundles with Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. It would seem that the company has all of its handhelds covered. I vote for an old school DS bundle with a copy of New Super Mario Bros. for good measure.
