PlayStation Store coming soon to PSP?

A quick look on the Downloads page at Sony’s redesigned UK PSP website reveals a Wipeout Pure link reading “Download full game now”. The link does not work yet as the site upgrades are still underway, but could this be the start of a digital distribution system for the PSP?
Sony did promise that the PlayStation Store would be heading to the PSP eventually, so perhaps a firmware update with the store is to be released soon.
