BioShock 2 “Destined” For Multi-Platform Release

The original BioShock was released a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360 initially – with a PlayStation 3 port coming months later after a string of rumors and denials. You’ll be pleased to know that history will not repeat itself with the follow-up, BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. 2K rep Charlie Sinhaseni confirms that it will be hitting all three platforms:

BioShock 2 is destined for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms.

Hopefully that means a simultaneous release. BioShock 2 is slated to hit in Take-Two’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2009. A teaser trailer was hidden at the end of the PS3 version of BioShock, but details regarding the sequel’s plot are unknown at this point.
