Independent game designer Jonathon Blow today provided an update on the PC version of Braid, revealing that the acclaimed time-bending puzzler will hit the platform in early 2009. Right now, a February-March drop date is being considered.

At this time, we’re looking at a window of February-March 2009 for the PC release. I know this isn’t good news for those of you who have been waiting a long time for the game, but there sure are lots of games out there for you to play in the meantime.

The PC release was previously scheduled for a 2008 release, but due to an influx in big-name releases this Christmas, it was decided to postpone the PC iteration until next year. Which, in all honestly, is a good move.

On the subject of Braid coming to other platforms, Blow once again mentioned that a PS3 port is a “possibility.” However, he further noted that it largely depends on if Sony is interested in the game or not. In that case, we hope they’re interested.
