Add a Vera in AutoVera. Don't forget to turn on status updates for your favorite devices so you can react to their status in Tasker! To receive status updates you need to first install the AutoVera plugin on your Vera.
Turn on status updates for one of your devices. You can now react to these updates with the "AutoVera Status Update" Tasker Event. Create a new profile->Event->Plugin->AutoVera Status Update
Got device info for a device using the "AutoVera Device Info" action in Tasker. Make sure to press the Tasker Tag icon to see what info is available for the device in the form of variables!

Enable, disable or Toggle status updates for a device with the "AutoVera Settings" Tasker action. This will allow you to not receive status updates for your lights when you're not at home, for example.
Set your Favourite Vera with the "AutoVera Settings" Tasker action. This allows you to dynamically control a Vera depending on your location for example, by using your favourite Vera in the various AutoVera Tasker actions.
Get info on your Rooms with the "AutoVera Rooms Info" Tasker action. You can use the room numbers or names in other AutoVera Tasker actions, so you can dynamically get all devices for a room, for example. As always, check the available Tasker variables by touching the Tasker Tag icon near any text field in Tasker (like in a Tasker flash action for example).
Set a nickname on any of your devices. Nicknames allow you to easily control or get info on multiple devices. For example, you could set the nickname "Favourite" on several of your devices, then create a Tasker scene where you could show and toggle all devices named "Favourite".
React to a Status Update with the "AutoVera Status Update" Tasker event, where you selected a Service and Variable, but no Device was directly selected. This allows you for example to setup a profile that warns you when any of your motion sensors has been tripped.
