While the PlayStation Vita may not have a lot to offer RPG fans, the PSP proudly boasted a large assortment of entries in the genre in its heyday. Despite the fact that Sony is pushing for the Vita to be its prime handheld at the moment, there are still PSP games trickling out of the production line, one of which is Unchained Blades.
Published by XSEED in North America, Unchained Blades will be available for the PSP as a digital download for $29.99. The game is scheduled to hit Sony’s previous handheld on June 26, with a 3DS version planned for the eShop later this year.
Unchained Blades features first-person dungeon-crawling, turn-based combat, English voice-overs, and over 60 hours of gameplay. Developer FuRyu has confirmed that a sequel is currently planned. Here’s hoping that game lands on the Vita and signals the beginning of more RPGs on Sony’s newer portable.
