If you’ve been following the Professor Layton series since its early beginnings or are just looking to jump in, you’ll be glad to know that the next entry is due out later this year. Titled Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, the next handheld puzzler from developer Level-5 will continue to tell the tale of the titular protagonist and his trusty sidekick Luke.

Nintendo announced that the game is due out in North America this coming November. A 3DS launch title in Japan, Miracle Mask was released to much success both critical and commercial. That should hardly come as a surprise, because we all know Level-5 makes one hell of a puzzler.

Watch out for the next chapter in the Professor Layton series before the end of the year. Following the launch of Miracle Mask, one new downloadable puzzle will be released every day for one year. Don’t worry, though, you won’t have to pay for this add-on content.
