A few days ago, Japan got some info on the upcoming DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2. Being the jealous nation that we are, North America rioted due to the lack of info for pricing and launch date details over here. Okay, so that didn’t actually happen. Regardless, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime took to the internet via Nintendo Direct and revealed the launch info for the DLC in North America.
The first set of add-on packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 is set to launch this Thursday for $2.50 each. This includes the Gold Coin Pack, Coin Challenge Pack A, and Nerve-Wrack Pack. You’ll get three stages to play through in Coin Rush mode in each of these packs, with the Nerve-Wrack Pack obviously offering up a high level of challenge.
Nintendo has also announced that more downloadable packs will be on their way at the end of October and at the end of November. Damn you, Nintendo, for making me want to jump back into New Super Mario Bros. 2 and spend more time playing Coin Rush mode!
