Sony Patent Shows Off Weird DualShock/Move Snap-On Controller

Sony has filed a new patent, but this one isn’t as ridiculous as some of its previous patents. Rather than pondering up ideas for in-game commercials or ads with playable mini-games, the company’s actually conjured up something that’s not too obnoxious.

This latest patent, which was shared by GameSpot, shows a hybrid controller that appears to be a cross between the DualShock and Move. Apparently, the darn thing can be separated and snapped together, in the process creating what can possibly be a controller that serves to provide both traditional functionality and motion controls.

This wacky controller patent was filed last May, and I really hope it doesn’t become a reality. Honestly, it just looks kind of silly. Besides, I can already see this thing going the way of the Move and never being mentioned again.
