Famed adventure game developer Telltale Games previously announced that the retail edition of The Walking Dead would launch on December 4 across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For those keeping track, that’s tomorrow — it’s not launching tomorrow after all, so please don’t go out to buy it. There, I just saved you from looking foolish. You’re welcome.

Thankfully, you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on the collected edition of this highly successful and immensely popular take on comic creator Robert Kirkman’s wonderful brainchild. Telltale has confirmed that The Walking Dead will scratch and bite its way to retailers next week on December 11.

The collection will be priced at $29.99, though a GameStop-exclusive Collector’s Edition bundle, which is being sold in limited quantities and comes with a compendium collecting the first 48 issues of the comic book, will run you $69.99. Additionally, Best Buy will feature a variant cover for all platforms and is the only place you can snag the PC version. Because during a zombie apocalypse, a few options are nice.
