Rayman Legends

When Rayman Legends was delayed on the Wii U to allow for an even launch date alongside the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, quite a number of fans were upset. On the one hand, you could argue that at least everyone would get a chance to play the game at the same time. On the other hand, however, it definitely blew for Wii U owners who were looking forward to the game. Thankfully, it looks like that delay will pay off.

Speaking to Official Nintendo Magazine, Legends Senior Game Manager Michael Micholic explained that the upcoming platformer, now due out on September 27, would boast 30 additional levels and some new bosses to boot. “Trust me, the things we are adding aren’t minor,” he explained. “We’re not talking about adding some polish here and there, but 30 new levels and several new bosses.”

It’s great to see the devs behind Legends rewarding the fans’ patience with some extra content. It’s no secret that Ubisoft Montpellier was upset at having to delay its labor of love. At least we’re getting a little something extra for the postponement. Not that the studio really owed us anything, but it’s certainly an awesome gesture.
