If you’re a PlayStation Plus member, you may be interested to know that this week’s free game is Metal Slug XX. The title, originally priced at $19.99, can be downloaded at no charge beginning tomorrow, July 23, indicates the PlayStation Blog.

Metal Slug XX received a handful of mixed reviews, as well as some positive press. Basically, if you’re a fan of the series and are looking for a portable game to have fun with, you can’t go wrong with this one. Also, it’s free, so you might as well try it out if you’re so inclined.

I was really looking forward to downloading and playing Metal Slug XX tomorrow, but then I remembered that I don’t own a PSP or Vita. D’oh!
