If you’re eagerly anticipating the launch of Beyond: Two Souls and don’t think you’ll be able to wait until the game’s October 8 launch, well, Sony and developer Quantic Dream have some good news for you. As indicated on the PlayStation Blog, a demo for the upcoming PlayStation 3 title will be available on October 1, so you can get some hands-on time with it one week before its release.

Two scenes from Beyond will be playable in the demo. The first stars a younger Jodie, who’s participating in some weird supernatural experiment. The second playable scene will have Jodie trying to escape a government agency while being pursued by a powerful being.

In addition to the demo launching widely on October 1, some folks will be able to get in on the action before then. According to the PlayStation Blog post, the demo will be available “for a few of you” beginning September 24. Details on this early promotion are still under wraps, but we should hear something fairly soon.
