PrimeSense, the company that developed the motion sensing technology of the Kinect for the Xbox 360, has been bought out by Apple, reports BBC News. While further details have yet to be disclosed, reports indicate that the acquisition ran Apple $360 million.

No word on how the company will utilize PrimeSense just yet. It’s rumored that Apple will use the technology firm’s resources for the Apple TV, though that’s all speculation right now.

The news was first confirmed to BBC by PrimeSense. The company is based in Israel and focuses on 3D technology.
