Titanfall

Well, it looks like Titanfall will indeed get the season pass treatment. Speaking on GameSpot’s The Lobby, Respawn Entertainment Co-Founder Vince Zampella confirmed the news.

We all know how we feel about season passes at this point (some like them, most hate them, others don’t care), but hey, at least the game won’t have microtransactions. That counts for something!

“There will be some paid DLC,” said Zampella. “We’re going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it’s a deal. We’re not going to do microtransactions. So a season pass is just: buy it up front, and you get a better price.”

In addition to paid DLC, free updates will be released for Titanfall to add features that Respawn originally intended. This includes private matches and other such gameplay options.

Sadly, the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall may or may not get DLC as Zampella is unsure about what route EA will take on the matter. So if you’re still gaming on Microsoft’s previous console and are looking forward to the upcoming shooter, there may be reason for concern.
