The insanely popular voxel-based world builder Minecraft will soon be widely available in yet another format. Taking to the PlayStation Blog, Mojang announced that Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will hit retail shelves beginning May 16.

As expected, this version of the game will feature everything seen in its console brethren. That includes all of the update 14 content such as Enders Chests and potatoes. There’s also four-player split-screen co-op and eight-player online action.

In addition to the retail version news, developer 4J Studios is continuing to toil away on the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions of Minecraft. Still no word on when these editions will arrive, though.
