Downgrader For PSP Firmware 3.50 Released

There’s a saying – good things come to those who wait. And it’s true, our friends over at Noobz have released what countless PSP owners have been anxiously waiting for – a firmware 3.50 downgrader! Coupled with the downgrader files below and a Lumines UMD disc, any PSP unit available on the market can now be downgraded to firmware 1.5.

Once on 1.5, you can run many of the freely available homebrew applications. Or even upgrade to Dark_AleX’s 3.40 OE-A – a souped up version of Sony’s 3.40 firmware – featuring support for homebrew, various plugins that enhance your PSP experience, and original PSone games (not limited to just the PS Store titles).

In a nutshell: Homebrew is now accessible to all PSP owners! As always, refer to the readme for detailed instructions on how to downgrade.

Please note Noobz cannot be responsible if you brick, and be forewarned if you use this downgrader on a previously downgraded TA-082/86 PSP, you will lock yourself out from running any official Sony updates (don’t worry, OE still works). However, Noobz plans to release a tool that will allow you to return to an official firmware in the future.
