While tilt-driven motion sensing controls on the PSP are nothing new thanks to the cunning minds of homebrew scene, peripheral maker Datel has expanded on that concept with a commercial product dubbed “TiltFX.” Despite not being endorsed by Sony, TiltFX promises compatibility with “all games” and functions regardless of what firmware is installed, provided you have a 1000, 2000, or 3000 series PSP unit. Appearance-wise, the gizmo is a small device that fits into the PSP’s 3.5mm headphone jack, as pictured above.

Datel says it intends to provide tailored profiles customized for specific titles, including the likes of WipEout, LocoRoco, Ridge Racer, Tony Hawk’s Underground Remix 2, Resistance: Retribution and Super Monkey Ball. It’s priced at $19.99 and is available now. Catch a video of it in action past the break.
