Jaffe: We’ll Stay Sony Exclusive As Long As Possible

Currently under contract for a three-title exclusive deal with Sony, Eat Sleep Play co-founder David Jaffe has no plans to break away from his stomping grounds. While the studio still remains open to the prospect of going multi-platform, Jaffe has went on record to say that his team is sticking by Sony’s side for the foreseeable future:

We have great, long term relationships with Sony and we’re fans of the Playstation ‘art meets commerce’ DNA. We may work on other platforms one day, but we’ll gratefully stay Sony exclusive as long as they will have us. It’s an honor to be published by Sony’s 1st party given the classics they have brought to the industry over the years.

Jaffe’s roots to Sony entrench way back to 1995, when he served as a lead designer on Twisted Metal. While his reluctance towards branching out comes as little surprise, the fact that he is not ruling out other platforms gives those not in the Sony camp a tinge of hope worth clinging on to.
