Wii’s Lead Over PS3 Dwindling

October sales figures from Enterbrain have revealed that the PlayStation 3 is slowly gaining momentum over in Japan. Specifically, Nintendo sold Wii 110,415 units in the month of October, while Sony pushed 47,183 units during the same timeframe.

That means the Wii is currently outselling the PS3 by at least 2-1. Although it may not exactly look like it, it’s a drastic improvement for Sony, as back in June, Wii sales were surpassing the PS3 by at least 6-1 in June.

Then again, we haven’t seen any major software releases for the Wii in awhile. November should be interesting, now that Mario Galaxy is out in Japan.
