Sony has confirmed that the newly-released-in-Japan DualShock 3 controller will rumble with all PS2 titles. To take advantage of the feature, your PS3 must be running at firmware 2.0.

All in all, great news for all PS3 owners, except those who bought a 40GB PS3 of course. The DualShock 3 hits the US and Europe in Spring 2008.
