Hudson today announced that an online enabled version of the popular puzzle classic Tetris will hit Nintendo’s upcoming WiiWare download service this summer.

The online mode is said to feature support for six player matches. Also present will be a two player co-op mode in which players aim to clear blocks on a single playing field.

While the game is scheduled for a simultaneous worldwide release, pricing details were not revealed. Hudson expects the title to amass over one million downloads worldwide. Considering this is Tetris after all, we think that goal will be easily reached.
