Telltale Games’ take on The Walking Dead has garnered quite the critical acclaim. The episodic series got off to a hot start with a gripping first chapter, and since then it has already delivered three more exciting experiences rife with tough decisions and hungry zombies. Episode 4 of the series, Around Every Corner, just launched, and we’re currently expecting the fifth and final entry, No Time Left, to pop up next month.

Telltale has revealed the release date and a few extra details on the planned retail edition of The Walking Dead. The set, which will collect all five episodes, will land at games retailers in North America on December 4. The game is due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it should make for a perfect warm and fuzzy holiday gift.

The adventure game developer also announced the very special and very limited Collector’s Edition bundle. Priced at $69.99, this version of The Walking Dead will include the game disc; the 1,000-page volume The Walking Dead Compendium One, which collects the first 48 issues of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series; and a special Collector’s Edition box.

If you’re digging The Walking Dead and fancy yourself a super fan, it’s obvious that this set is quite the enticing bundle. The regular retail version will be available widely, while the Collector’s Edition will be sold in limited quantities and will remain exclusive to GameStop. So if it’s something you want, you may want to go out and pre-order it ASAP.
