For those eager to set foot in the tropical warzone that is Far Cry 3, Ubisoft’s officially announced that the title has gone gold, meaning the game code is finalized and has been sent off to production. The title is scheduled to hit PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 29 in the EU, with a November 30 and December 4 release following in the UK and North America respectively.

We have to say — the inclusion of the PC version is notable, since it’s one of the first major Ubisoft releases that hasn’t suffered a platform-specific delay. That, coupled with the fact that Ubi seems to be putting extra effort in the PC rendition with added DX11 support, is certainly welcomed. Granted, it’s probably not the start of a trend, but one can hope.
