What’s the deal with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots? Well, it’s still in development, apparently. Accordiong to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the game may even be headed to the next wave of consoles.

The development of Patriots became a bit rocky when three developers left the team. As a result, the process hasn’t been as smooth as Ubisoft would’ve hoped for. That said, the game is most definitely still a thing, which should please tactical shooter fans looking forward to the anti-terrorism-themed title.

The lengthy development time seems to have resulted in Patriots possibly becoming a next-gen title. Polygon asked Guillemot if this was the case, and he responded that “there’s a good chance it can be.”

When Patriots does launch, it’ll task players with making tough moral choices in-game such as deciding whether certain characters live or die. “You have to make decisions and that implies lots of ethical choices,” said Guillemot. “But that’s what is interesting with the concept — being able to give a choice to the person who is playing.”
