Ken Levine: No Multiplayer in BioShock Infinite

People have been wondering whether BioShock Infinite will feature a multiplayer component. Rumors have been popping up on the good ol’ internet, leading many to believe that some modes had been removed from the final game. So what’s the final story on multiplayer in Infinite? According to series creator, writer, and designer Ken Levine, there will be no multiplayer functionality in the game.

Some folks are bound to be disappointed after hoping that this feature would’ve been included in Infinite. Others, however, seem to be fine with the omission considering the BioShock series is a strong single-player franchise. Personally, I just want to check the game out for myself because it looks pretty rad.

It should be noted that BioShock 2 introduced multiplayer to the series. This feature was well received by fans, so it makes sense that a few individuals aren’t very pleased about the lack of multiplayer in Infinite. Either way, if you fancy yourself a BioShock lover or just a steampunk aficionado, you can expect Infinite on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in February 2013.
